HUB Montréal 2024 featured a vibrant, budget-friendly wayfinding system across five levels. PXP used color-coded vinyl graphics and dynamic lines to guide visitors, creating an immersive, coherent, and memorable experience.

The 2024 edition of HUB Montréal took place at The 7 Fingers under the theme Horizon(s): technologies of perception and action. Three days filled with conferences, meetings, and discoveries brought together the creative and digital ecosystem.

Vertical Horizon & Color Codes

Each active level was assigned a color drawn from HUB’s palette and adapted to the atmosphere of the space, ranging from a soft forest green to an effervescent yellow, passing through a dusk-inspired pink. This discontinuous gradient creates an immediate landmark, facilitates orientation, and sets each step of participants’ experience within a distinct tone. Large color-coded directories near the elevators anchor the visual code.

Lines & Movement

Echoing the horizon line, long graphic bands stretch along the walls, clearly marking the paths to follow. PXP designed pictograms inspired by the HUB arrow to reinforce key messages. Elevator wraps and graphic treatments in main rooms complete an immersive, cohesive, and memorable experience.

Integrated Wayfinding

Deployed across five levels of a complex building (with some intermediate floors closed to the public), the system was designed to clarify circulation, guide visitor flow, and convey HUB Montréal’s identity. PXP developed a sensitive approach that aligns with the existing architecture and transforms vertical circulation into a narrative experience. Designed for a temporary intervention and a tight budget, the system favors printed vinyl elements—quick to install and remove.
